Our cakes & buttercream are made from the finest natural ingredients, real butter & never any shortening; therefore all cake products must be refrigerated unless otherwise noted & brought to room temperature prior to service.
This cake has a warm spiced flavor and is super-moist, thanks to the bananas and pineapple. The smooth brown butter bourbon cream cheese buttercream and crunchy toasted pecans will lure you back for a second slice. Hummingbird cake is packed with fruit, coconut and pecans, which add a delicious flavor and moist texture.
Why is it Called Hummingbird Cake? The name is thought to come from the fact that the cake is sweet enough to attract hummingbirds seeking nectar. This dessert comes from the Carribean country of Jamaica, originating in the 1960’s!
