  • Can I order a small birthday cake?
    As of 2023, I work exclusively with wedding cakes, desserts for large events and French Macaron orders only. I no longer take orders for small birthday/party cakes. It has been an honor to provide you and your families with cakes for birthdays, anniversaries, and parties over the years and I appreciate the support so much! The shop will no longer have a walk-in storefront and will be open by appointment only for wedding tastings.
  • Do you offer cake tastings for a wedding cake?
    Wedding tasting and consultation fee is $45.00 for 2 complete with tea or illy coffee & espresso service. This is a private 45 minute appointment with Chef Wingate. Please bring any photos/color swatches/wedding invitations for design inspiration. Complete a wedding inquiry form for more information!
  • How much do your wedding cakes cost?
    As each cake is custom made with it's own theme, we do not have a set price for every wedding cake. Depending on labor involved, flavors chosen, and design elements, our wedding cakes start at $11 - $15 per person + delivery.
  • When are you open?
    We are open for wedding tastings and order pickups by appointment only.
  • Return Policy & Care Instructions
    Retainer deposits are non-refundable. Due to the tedious, handcrafted nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds on orders. Order cancellations with 3 weeks or more notice will receive a store credit. After the 3 week lockout date, no refunds and no credits will be given. You may provide us with a photograph for inspiration; however, we make no claims for exact duplication of the work done by other decorators. It will not exactly match a photo of another bakery's work. Once an order has been picked up, it is considered "Accepted". Wingate's Cake Design is not responsible for orders once they leave our shop. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to the items in the order during transport, set up or anytime thereafter. All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our shop. The Client is responsible for providing a suitable environment for the cake/desserts (refrigeration, away from heaters, away from vibrations, people & high traffic areas, a level surface, suitable outdoor setting) All cakes and desserts must be kept refrigerated & then brought to room temperature 1-2 hours prior to service. All cakes/desserts are made in a facility that uses dairy, gluten, nut and nut products. We offer gluten free and nut free items, but we are not a nut free or gluten free facility and cross contamination can happen. Wedding and large event orders: please refer to your signed contract. Retainer deposits are non refundable.
